Be happy you had her for 3.5 years! My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that spread to her brain and other organs in May 2005 and died Aug 2005. She was 69 years old and a very active dancer! Count your blessings! Your very lucky! It's a horrible disease!

I am a nursing student set to graduate in December. We happen to be studying cancer right now and according to our textbook 14% of patients diagnosed with lung cancer make the 5 year survival rate. Congratulations and I hope you cherish every day. I lost my 45 year old dad in November to lung cancer, it is a devastating disease! God Bless!
