The word "early" is very subjective. What is early to you, may not be early to a doc. Please state the TNM score. Apparently you have a histology report. Please state it to get a more accurate answer. I don't want to jump into any guess as that's not very professional because your info is too vague. Besides, i don't want to cause any unneccessary psychological turmoil on you.

I'm not sure of the percentage however, when lung cancer is caught "in time" and ONLY if it's localized to one side. can a possible cure be gotten. Usually the only way they can get the cancer out of a lung is to remove the one lung. It can be done and the person can live a long time. My sister-in-law had a lung removed in Boston and she lived for over 30 yrs. Just don't ever take up smoking or anything else that can reintroduce cancer to one good lung. Otherwise, if it's in both lungs and it's again, localized to one tumor, then the tumor can be removed along with surrounding tissue and chemo would follow, High success rate. If chemo only is used and it's in both lungs, then the success rate drops. There are a lot more things being done for lung cancer but the best thing you as a person can do is not smoke...anything Blessings
