i don't think it is as bad. but i know it really does suck that they say incense is bad for your lungs. because it's friggen gnarrrrr hahahahahha but it's okay it's whatever - it probably won't do anything. people have been doing it for years. and years and years + do you have history of lung cancer in your family? if not, then i wouldn't worry too much about it.
2 :
Most of the population of China would have died off many years ago if incense caused cancer.

what are my friend's risk for lung cancer and other cancers through his lifestyle

what are my friend's risk for lung cancer and other cancers through his lifestyle?
My friend loves to drink and drinks almost every weekend. He also smokes like about 2 packs a day. And he does drugs as well (mostly weed, he did cocaine once). He's only 24. What are his risks for getting cancers (especially lung cancer) and for getting liver damage. If he continues this lifestyle, at what age should diseases hit him because of his current lifestyle? I don't really try to tell him to change because I'm in no position to tell him how he lives his life, but I'd like to know for myself

Hello, It depends on many factors. You wont wont know for sure until it happens. Factors that can influence are genetics (is he predisposed to have cancers (that would take into account his family history)) and environmental factors (does he live in a polluted city?). If he is genetically predisposed, it means hat he may get cancer because he has certain mutations that makes him prone to it. In this case, it is better not to smoke because smoking would be the trigger that would fire the cancer. The same with drinking. Some other people are genetically predisposed and they have a healthy life style. Still, they get cancer. It is all a matter of luck. And since we don't know if we are going to get it, it is better to prevent to be exposed to things that could trigger it! A side note: Wine, specially red, if drunk in moderation, it helps to prevent cancer and cardiovascular diseases. I hope I helped! Sorry there is not a definite answer... it all about your genes, and we don't know much about them yet...

Eventually this lifestyle will catch up with him & it will surface & he will have to make changes, hopefully before it is too late. It isn't by any means instant & therefore he like many people think that they are safe & will not get cancer, etc........!! However the Bible says: *Be sure UR sin's will find you out. *You Reap what you sow.

it could be general snoring sound made by rolling of tongue ....
2 :
Relax. Whistling sounds are very common when there is a little congestion in the chest. Nothing to worry about, I do it al the time and when I was in the Air Force a lot of my barracks mates made the sound.

How soon after lung cancer lobectomy can you go back to work

How soon after lung cancer lobectomy can you go back to work?
It has been 5 months since the surgery, and I am 70. Also, how long should pain last after this surgery? I still have front and back rib pain.

Where do you stay? I mean in UK you are classed as retired. Congrats on making such a brill recovery but at aged 70 you shouldn't you proudly your feet up and enjoy the days as your twilight years are about YOU now! Consult a Dr for your options .
2 :
Two to three months to recover. As far as the soreness and pain this can take as long as six to eight months. Your pain may be from adhesion's forming around the scars. Talk to your physician about the level of pain and when they feel that you can go back to work. Some doctors believe that you should go on disability while others believe that work (for some people) is motivation to survive. You may not want to sit in a chair in the sun or watch the sunset. My grandfather ran a post office well into his nineties. Another one retired at sixty five and never looked back. Bottom line for most doctors is do what you can and try to do more or the same each day. It's that old quality of life thing.

What helps lung cancer to grow

What helps lung cancer to grow?
i heared that cancer cells need oxygen to grow how do you explain a person getting lung cancer after few months having heart attack. i know the cancer could have been there b4 that but can heart medicine like aspirin provide more oxygen to the cancer cells and give chance to grow?

Not sure on the aspirin and other medicine's providing more oxygen. But oxygen is the key. All I do know is that everyone I've ever known that consented to having "exploratory surgery" wound up dead within 3 months. As soon as the surgeon opens up the body and air hits the cancer cells they then begin to grow at a rapidly accelerated pace. And if you are a long-time smoker diagnosed with lung cancer, you may as well continue smoking. To stop at that point would not prolong, but shorten what life you have left due to all the extra oxygen without cigarette smoke. Hope you find the proper answer for this question. These are more or less some insights I thought I'd share with you. Good Luck. Peace.
2 :
smoking, stay away from it.
3 :
Your cancer was probably there b4. It just did not peak its ugly head until after your heart attack. Cancer cells are a strange type of cell that multiplies on its own. It is what the doctors call quickly dividing cells that are not normal cells. Chemo therapy is used to kill those quickly dividing cells. I see it like this, your body is imbalanced because of these fast acting cells. It does not matter how much aspirin you took or how much oxygen the cancer cells get that make them grow.
4 :
Some post heart attack medication effects the immune systerm. This would allow the cancer to takehold better and to spread.
5 :
The cancer cells were probably there already, just that they were below the level for clinical detection. The other possibility is that the person's immune system was weakened, and this allowed the cancerous cells to grow. There a longer explanation about cancer at: http://www.cancerdoubts.com

Don't think any. A recent study found no correlation between the two.
2 :
zero
3 :
No one knows what causes cancer so when people are diagnosed the cause is not stated or reported.
4 :
if anything the weed will fight against the cancer :)
5 :
none, cannabis has an anti tumor effect. it has been found that among regular cannabis smokers there is actually less instance of lung cancer than even those who don't smoke at all. check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptDgnnW6dr8 http://www.scribd.com/doc/36023630/Cancer

How long does someone go through chemotherapy for lung cancer(stage2)

How long does someone go through chemotherapy for lung cancer(stage2)?
what is the averge time(months) for chemo tratment for lung cancer patients? do they alway do chemo right after surgery?

There is no "one size fits all" approach. Think of your surgeon as your manager and coordinator. he will do a work up and decide what you need. you'll see the chemo people, the radiology people, Sometimes, chemo is done before surgery, it all depends on on your particular circumstance.
2 :
Sorry I don't know an answer for your question, but no they dont always do chemo after surgery. My dad had surgery when he had cancer the second time but no chemo. If your asking due to someone you know being sick I hope everything works out, try and stay strong.

Sometimes Paranoia can cause you to do things you may not be aware of. Don't worry, a cough is a cough. :)
2 :
Hello, I'm a doctor. Use topamax. I think that you want to get more info about it. Please go to ----> http://webmd14.notlong.com/AA61NKW
3 :
No... Can't diagnosis lung cancer just based on a cough.
4 :
I really can't tell you if you have lung cancer or not. But more that likely, you don't. It's a cough, for heaven's sake. When you're stressed out you can cough. It's probably just seasonal allergies. But if you're as worried as you sound, go to a doctor. They can diagnose you, but someone on the internet who doesn't know you can't. The people on the computer can't treat cancer, especially if they're not doctors and you can't get to their office.
